Bras d’Or Boatworks is currently engaged in reinforcing the keel attachment on a high performance fin keel sloop owned by a local yachtsman. The repair involves removing the lead fin, constructing tooling and laminating high strength reinforcements to the bottom while maintaining a sleek racing profile.
Powertrain Improvements on a 35’ Lobsterboat.
Our technicians are currently revamping the shafting and thrust bearing components for an inshore fishing boat based in LFA27. This work involves inspecting all critical components as well as installing bearing surfaces, attending to the alignment, and ensuring the safe efficient operation of the vessels motive power.

Bras d’Or Boatworks recently worked on behalf of a seasonal resident to diagnose and repair the cause(s) of fuel system problems aboard a large outboard powered rib.
