Taharra
This vintage cruiser has undergone extensive rehabilitation at Bras d’Or Boatworks. While in our care, Taharra has been repowered, had extensive core replacement in her decks, and received a coat of Alexseal LP on decks and Topsides. All hardware and woodwork was removed, refinished and rebedded. During the winter of 2015/16 Taharra is having her electrical system upgraded and she will have a hot pressure shower installed along with converting her galley from Alcohol to Propane.
Time Out
We love wood, and this 1962 Lyman Cruisette is the perfect vessel to showcase our skills. So far we have disassembled and restored the windscreen and other bright trim, removed and catalogued the hardware, replaced sections of the sheerstrake and wooded the hull. Then we primed and filled the topsides using Awlgrip fillers, fairing compounds and primers. Next we removed and replaced the structural decking. When she comes out of the shop she will have been refitted with her original bright mahogany, a windscreen and teak planking over her newly epoxied deck. The owner will use her as a tender for his Bras d’Or Lakes property.
